Course description

In this class you will experience working in a truly agile way through a series of specially designed activities and discussions to let you see and feel the difference. You will be able understand the basics of lean thinking and visualize your value stream. You will then understand and choose the agile practices that are best for your context. Of course, we'll also cover agile values and the manifesto, Scrum basics, Kanban basics, and many of the common practices to be found in the agile world. You will understand exactly how these methods can improve your current way of work. When we are done, you will have the fundamentals needed to start your agile journey as well as a concrete plan for you and your teams to start seeing value right away.

Target audience

Since the ICP is foundational and the gateway to all other ICAgile tracks, the ICP certification has the broadest target audience. It is appropriate for those new to the agile world, and for practitioners who recognize the need to focus on “being” agile in addition to “doing” agile.

Online Training Requirements & Certification

In case the scheduled class is set-up to be online (i.e.: virtual instructor-led training), here are some tips to ensure a smooth training experience and flow:
- Install Zoom on your laptop for easy access.
- Cameras must remain on during the entire course, except during breaks.
- Find a quiet room or use a noise-canceling headset.
- Test your computer’s speakers & microphone beforehand to ensure clear audio.
- Do a Zoom test prior to the course.
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection and a backup internet option.

Becoming a Certified Agile Professional

After successfully attending the whole class, showing an acceptable level of active interaction and contribution, you will need to follow the below instructions:
- You will receive an email from with a login link
- Use the link create or access your ICAgile account.
- Once logged in, you’ll be prompted to complete a brief survey.
- Upon submitting the survey, you’ll receive a follow-up email from with your certificate and a LinkedIn badge to showcase your achievement.

Ahmed Dereaa

Ahmed Dereaa is an experienced Agile Coach with over a decade of expertise in Agile methodologies and project management, leading successful Agile transformations across multiple industries. Since 2014, Ahmed has built a career centered on Agile adoption and transformation, starting as a Project Manager in software houses, where he guided teams in embracing Agile practices to enhance efficiency and delivery. He then transitioned to the telecom industry, contributing to Vodafone Egypt’s Agile transformation, first as a Scrum Master and later as an Agile Coach, where he played a key role in scaling Agile methodologies within the organization. Currently, Ahmed is an Agile Coach at VIDSCOLA DWC, working with Banque Misr’s Data Sector, one of VIDSCOLA’s key clients, to drive Agile transformation and enable the delivery of AI and Data Analytics products using Agile frameworks. With extensive experience in the software, banking, and telecom industries, he has successfully implemented Agile transformations using the Spotify Model, tailoring it to fit different organizational needs. His expertise extends beyond execution to designing tribes and their operational frameworks, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhancing team collaboration. Ahmed is a certified Agile and project management professional, holding credentials in Digital Transformation Strategy from the American University in Cairo, ICAgile Certified Professional – Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC), Leading SAFe (5.1) from Scaled Agile, Inc., and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Additionally, he has earned multiple ICAgile certifications, including ICP, Business Value Analysis (ICP-BVA), and Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF). His expertise in Kanban is demonstrated through his certifications in Kanban System Design (KMP I) and Kanban Management Professional (KMP II) from Kanban University. He is also a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance. Through his role at VIDSCOLA DWC, Ahmed continues to leverage his deep knowledge and passion for Agile by mentoring teams, fostering a growth mindset, and enhancing organizational agility. Mohamed Khalid

Mohamed Khalid is a Forward-thinking Principal Product Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset. Having +14Y extensive experience in a variety of domains, including logistics, fulfilment, FMCGs, Fintech, healthcare, E-commerce, Q-commerce, as well as banking. Agile product management, software development methodologies, and delivery are all areas in which he excels. Khalid has a proven track record of successfully managing all aspects of the product life cycle, from research and initial conception to marketing strategy and go-to-market launch.

Tomader is a senior Agile Coach with sum of 14 years of experience in IT project management in different sectors including Industrial, Telecom, Banking, and Non-profit organizations.
Tomader is experienced in tailoring agile frameworks according to business needs. She is acquainted with multinational companies, governmental entities and international organizations.
Being eager to transform teams and organizations to adopt agility mindset & implement Scaled Agile Framework, Tomader is a certified SAFe Agilist.
