Course description
During this 5-days workshop you will get exposed to VIDSCOLA official version of Agile Fundamentals class accredited from ICAgile. The workshop trainers will demonstrate the critical part of the theory as part of the class delivery; while they will give a special focus on various training and delivery techniques that will help participants to be officially authorized ICAgile trainers, and become ready for delivering VIDSCOLA’s Agile Fundamentals class after passing the required assessment from ICAgile side. (ICAgile assessment is booked by VIDSCOLA for participants who pass the final day evaluation).
Course requirements
Not less than 3 years of practicing agile techniques and methodologies in real agile environment. Participants should have solid experience with agile mindset, values, concepts and practiced enough over different agile frameworks. In addition, they should have some experience with training & coaching (either commercially or for internal teams).
Our Way of Delivery
The workshop is a full interactive one, not aiming at the first place to deliver theories and concepts; instead, we are aiming to develop participants’ capabilities of delivering valuable classes using all available tools and delivery techniques. On each day, we will be walking through some important concepts for any agile transformation like the culture engine, human dynamics, lean thinking, agile frameworks …etc. while during the rest of the day participants will break into groups, create a skeleton to describe the class topics, and start teaching back to the rest of the class. At the end of the day, each one will get an evaluation for his practice inside the class from the workshop trainers, and his classmates.
On the final day, the workshop trainers will be assessing whole participants Vs. the program objectives to decide who’s ready to deliver the class in terms of knowledge and training skills, and who’s not. And finally, an evaluation report will be sent to each one after the class concludes.
Will You Pass the Assessment or Fail?!
Our evaluation criteria implies that:
▪ You have an enough level of understanding for the agile methods, values and frameworks which enable you to run a class effectively.
▪ You can effectively use VIDSCOLA agile fundamentals course skeleton, and populate it with exercises to meet the necessary goals and objectives of ICAgile official program.
▪ You are able find the relationship between different areas of agile and tie them all together to have a uniform and connected story.
▪ You have the ability to manage a classroom, and maintain the energy of all participants.
▪ You can translate the theory inside the class to effective, actionable and applicable plan.
What if I Failed?
We are keen to help you find your way out, and get authorized. That’s why if you failed the evaluation on the last day of the program (first internal assessment), or you failed ICAgile official assessment (the second assessment before authorization), you will be granted a second time enrollment with 50% discount. You will be paying only a fraction of the original registration price of the workshop to attend the whole 5 days again and then you can pass the evaluation to get a seat in ICAgile authorization session.
Yet, there is a disqualification criteria during the course of the program through which the workshop trainers have the right to disqualify any participant who didn't attend the full 5 days, or didn't contribute to the workshop activities in an adequate manner; and in that case the 2nd enrollment discount will be disqualified too.
If I Passed the Evaluation, What Happens Next...
Once you pass the program evaluation, you will be scheduled to sit with an ICAgile professional assessor using VIDSCOLA’s Agile Fundamentals course version (that’s totally for free). After passing that assessment, you will get authorized and registered under VIDSCOLA as a trainer, and you will be able to make official Agile Fundamentals class delivery to your clients/students, and register the qualified ones through VIDSCOLA’s ICAgile portal. You will also have access to VIDSCOLA’s official portal to monitor your classes scores, and participants feedbacks on your deliveries.
Being VIDSCOLA Authorized Trainer
▪ As an authorized trainer registered under VIDSCOLA DWC, you will be able to deliver all your official ICP workshops under VIDSCOLA's account.
▪ For every single issued certificate for any of your clients/students, you will be requested to pay an accreditation fees of $150. So, for example, for a 20 seats class you will be paying $3,000 for VIDSCOLA as certification and management fees. (Part of these fees will be paid for ICAgile for certification issuance, and the rest will be for VIDSCOLA’s against logistics & management procedures)
▪ You won’t be allowed to use VIDSCOLA’s official material in any other official or unofficial deliveries. (an agreement termination would occur in case of any violation)
▪ You will get a clear access to VIDSCOLA official portal to view your uploaded classes, get your satisfaction & NPS scores, and quality feedbacks from your registered participants. (all feedbacks are anonymous).
Course teachers
*Mahmoud Ghoz* has a sum of 19 years of experience coaching and delivering complex IT, web, and mobile projects with multiple technologies; out of which, Ghoz has been practicing Lean and agile techniques for more than 10 years to transform teams and help them scale the right way in different fast-growing local and multinational companies. Ghoz is a self-motivated agile practitioner who can see the complete value stream throughout the product life cycle. Working in different company sizes with multicultural teams gave him a rich experience to build/transform teams, initiate/enhance processes, develop and maintain legacy enterprise systems.
Also, he is an Authorized Instructor from ICAgile over different programs including Fundamentals, Product owner, Team Facilitation, Agile Coaching, Agile Testing, and Test Automation. Moreover, Ghoz is a Lean Kanban University Authorized Trainer. He is certified over Scrum at Scale "CSaSP", Kanban coaching professional (KCP), certified Trainer for DASA DevOps Fundamentals for the scaling framework, and certified Management 3.0 Fundamentals from Management 3.0.
