Course description

The ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) program is a four-day immersive learning experience for Agile practitioners looking to deepen their coaching capabilities. It focuses equally on being an Agile coach, developing mindset, presence, and self-awareness, and doing Agile coaching, applying professional coaching, mentoring, facilitation, and teaching skills to support teams and organizations. Through a highly interactive format, participants will explore the principles, roles, and stances of an Agile coach, practice coaching conversations, and learn how to build strong working relationships with individuals, teams, and leadership. Real-world simulations, feedback-driven exercises, and peer coaching enable participants to apply concepts immediately in their contexts.
Successful completion of this program awards the globally recognized ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) credential, demonstrating readiness to guide Agile teams and organizations toward sustainable performance and continuous improvement.

Target audience

The ICP-ACC program is positioned at the Intermediate level and is designed for:
- Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, and Agile Team Facilitators looking to advance their coaching expertise
- Product Owners, Agile Project Managers, and leaders who work closely with Agile teams
- Practitioners aspiring to take on Agile coaching responsibilities in their organizations
- Participants who have completed ICAgile’s Agile Fundamentals (ICP) and/or Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF) or have equivalent experience

Course requirements

There are no formal prerequisites. However, to gain the maximum benefit from the program, participants should:
- Have foundational knowledge of Agile principles and practices (e.g., ICAgile ICP)
- Recommended to have completed the Agile Fundamentals (ICP) Workshop.
- Recommended to have completed the Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF) workshop.
- Ideally have experience working with or supporting Agile teams

Learning Outcomes

- Demonstrate an Agile coaching mindset grounded in self-awareness, openness, and ethical practice
- Distinguish and apply the roles of professional coach, mentor, facilitator, and teacher in an Agile context
- Establish coaching agreements and working alliances with individuals and teams
- Facilitate collaboration and decision-making in Agile ceremonies, workshops, and organizational sessions
- Apply professional coaching skills such as active listening, powerful questioning, and constructive feedback
- Mentor individuals and teams in Agile roles, frameworks, and mindset shifts
- Teach Agile practices in an engaging and learner-centered way
- Support the development of high-performing teams and address common dysfunctions
- Help teams and organizations navigate conflict and remove impediments to performance

Program Details

- Program Duration: 4 full days (32 hours including breaks)
- Delivery Mode: Virtual and/or Classroom instructor-led training set-up is applicable, featuring interactive practice and coaching
- Class Capacity: a minimum of 10 seats to run the program in person, with a maximum of up to 12 seats per round, for optimal interactivity, guided facilitation and feedback
- Certification: Participants who complete the program will earn the ICAgile Certified Professional – Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) credential, recognized globally
